AM Best confirm A- Rating

Credit rating firm A.M. Best announced on the 1st of April that it had affirmed the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and the issuer credit rating  of “A-” of The United Kingdom Mutual War Risks Association Ltd.  The outlook for both ratings remains stable.

In its announcement A.M. Best stated: “The ratings of UK War Risks reflect its excellent risk-adjusted capitalisation, track record of good operating performance and its established business profile as a specialist underwriter of war risk insurance for ships.”

The UK War Risks Club is organised around its Members, with elected shipowner Directors making strategic and policy decisions.  Founded in 1913, and headquartered in London,  it has been open to membership by international shipowners since 2009.

Independent managers Thomas Miller War Risks Services Limited administer the business of the Club on a day-to-day basis. Thomas Miller is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
