Aden Port closes amid fighting

The Managers have received reports that the port of Aden, Yemen, has closed today, 26 March 2015, amid heavy fighting between Houthi rebels and pro-government forces.

We have been informed that the ports of Hodeidah and Saleef (in the east of the country) are operating normally but, due to the unfolding and unpredictable nature of the situation, Members are advised to consult reliable local sources and/or maritime risk experts in those areas for the most up-to-date information.

We are investigating this further and will place updated information on the website as soon as this is known.
